Responsibilities:

• Champion a zero-incident safety culture by maintaining a consistently safe work environment.
• Take full ownership of daily production operations to ensure targets are achieved.
• Drive throughput and optimize output to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
• Track and enhance key performance metrics, including safety, productivity, scrap, downtime, and labor efficiency.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement timely solutions across equipment, staffing, and processes.
• Collaborate closely with shop floor operators to maintain continuous production flow.
• Coordinate activities across preparation, welding, testing, and shipping to ensure seamless workflow.
• Prioritize jobs effectively to meet production schedules and on-time delivery commitments.
• Troubleshoot production and quality issues proactively and resolve them in real time.
• Anticipate potential challenges and take preventive action to avoid disruptions.
• Lead, supervise, and develop a high-performing production team.
• Establish and maintain appropriate staffing levels to support operational needs.
• Train and upskill employees to enhance flexibility, productivity, and overall performance.
• Enforce accountability for attendance, quality, and individual/team performance.
• Act as a hands-on leader, actively supporting operations as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production flow, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
• Standardize processes where appropriate while maintaining operational flexibility.
• Improve equipment reliability and uptime through proactive measures.
• Support the implementation of improved tooling, setups, and best shop practices.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and ISO requirements without compromising productivity.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment (e.g., metal, hose, pipe, or tubing).
• Strong understanding of production workflows, throughput optimization, and shop floor operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive production performance in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience managing multiple production stages simultaneously (e.g., preparation, welding, testing).
• Hands-on leadership approach with a willingness to engage directly in operations.
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to act quickly and maintain workflow continuity.
• Experience building, mentoring, and managing effective teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with welding stainless steel corrugated hose assemblies or similar products.
• Knowledge of welding and fabrication processes.
• Background in low-mix, high-volume production environments.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or structured quality systems with a practical, implementation-focused approach.
