CNC /CMM Operator - Nightshift in Rockford, Illinois at KADON PRECISION MACHINING, LLC

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator with Haas experience who excels in process discipline and in-process inspection. This role involves operating CNC machines while performing frequent and precise part inspections using a CMM program. The ideal candidate is detail-driven, consistent, and committed to maintaining high quality standards throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Haas CNC machines to produce precision components
• Load and unload parts efficiently while maintaining consistent cycle times
• Perform frequent in-process inspections using CMM equipment and established programs
• Verify part dimensions using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and inspection requirements
• Make minor tool offsets and adjustments to maintain part quality within tolerance
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
• Identify trends or deviations in part quality and report issues promptly
• Follow standardized work instructions and maintain strong process discipline

• 2+ years of CNC operating experience, preferably with Haas machines
• Experience running and understanding CMM inspection programs
• Strong understanding of dimensional inspection and quality control practices
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Familiarity with tool offsets and basic machine adjustments
• High attention to detail and commitment to process consistency
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
