MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Parish Mesa – Mesa, Arizona

Holy Cross Catholic Church is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to help care for our parish campus and support the daily life of our community. This role is essential in keeping our buildings and grounds safe, clean, and welcoming for worship, ministry programs, and parish events.

• Oversee maintenance and custodial operations for parish buildings and grounds
  
• Help ensure facilities are safe, clean, and ready for parish use
  
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs (minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical work)
  
• Coordinate and monitor outside vendors/contractors (HVAC, landscaping, pest control, etc.)
  
• Schedule and supervise custodial staff and support volunteers as needed
  
• Assist with room and event setups/teardowns for parish activities
  
• Order and maintain maintenance supplies, tools, and repair parts
  
• Help maintain preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment
  
• Ensure facilities are opened, closed, and secured as needed
  
• Monitor and adjust building temperature controls
  
• Respond to urgent maintenance issues and facility needs
  
  

Required

• Experience in building/facilities maintenance, repair, or related work
  
• Knowledge of safe work practices and proper tool/equipment use
  
• Ability to perform physical work and lift up to 50 lbs
  
• Ability to safely use ladders, lifts, scaffolds, and related equipment
  
• Ability to supervise/train staff or volunteers
  
• Valid Arizona driver’s license and reliable transportation
  
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings/weekends/holidays, and respond to emergencies as needed
  
• Living in Communion with the Teachings of the Roman Catholic Church

Preferred

• Trade school training or equivalent hands-on experience
  
• Bilingual English/Spanish

** Some evening/weekend/holiday hours will be required for parish events and facility needs.
