In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, servicing, and repairing essential HVAC components, including Air Conditioning Units, Air Handlers, VFDs, Ice Machines, and more. Your expertise will help ensure that our state-of-the-art hospital operates at peak efficiency, supporting the well-being of our community.

Hourly Pay Rate: $25.96 - $38.29
*Earn more for when it matters most: +18% for nights, +8% for weekends, and a rewarding +26% for weekend night shifts — because your flexibility deserves extra recognition.
Qualifications
Education:
  • Requires an associate's degree in HVAC or a related field or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.
Experience:
  • A minimum of five (5) years of HVAC experience in an industrial or hospital setting is preferred.
Specialized Training:
  • Advanced training in DDC, air balance, and energy management systems is preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
  • Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license.
  • EPA-certified refrigerant recovery is required.
  • Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card.
  • A boiler operator certificate is preferred.
  • A journeyman's license or 60-credit-hours HVAC certification is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
  • Must have working knowledge of fire protection, plumbing, and other building systems codes, OSHA requirements, and safe working techniques and procedures.
  • Proven ability to perform HVAC maintenance work and follow directions in the daily performance of duties is required.
  • Must have the ability to work independently with limited guidance.
  • Must have excellent communication, organizing, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.
  • Creativity, initiative, independent thinking, and problem-solving skills are strongly preferred.
