Product Analyst at QE Solar – Scottsdale, Arizona
About This Position
About QE Solar
We're making clean energy more efficient! For over a decade, the team at QE Solar has brought technical expertise, curiosity, and an investigative approach to the Solar Operations & Maintenance sector, maximizing asset uptime and return on investment while prioritizing safety. QE Solar manages well over 3GWs of PV/BESS projects and hundreds of employees, providing renewable assets owners the most reliable renewable asset service from coast-to-coast. QE Solar is known for an owner’s mindset in delivering consistent quality and service to our clients with a sense of urgency because we know maintenance issues impact the bottom line.
QE Solar is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Product Operations / Associate Product Manager to support the day-to-day execution of product initiatives led by Chris Ticcioni, Product Manager. This role will act as a force multiplier for product delivery by owning key operational responsibilities across bug intake/triage, staging/UAT testing, and training documentation, while also supporting backlog organization and release readiness for our monthly production releases. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working across technical and business teams, and enjoys combining structured problem-solving (triage/testing) with clear communication (documentation and release support). This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to develop deeper product management skills while having real ownership over execution-critical workstreams.
Essential Duties:
1) Bug Intake, Triage & Validation
• Own bug intake and coordination across web and mobile products, ensuring issues are
captured clearly and consistently in Jira
• Reproduce reported issues in staging (and production when needed) and document:
• steps to reproduce
• expected vs. actual behavior
• environment details (device/browser/version)
• screenshots/screen recordings and supporting evidence
• Recommend severity/priority using team guidelines (P1–P4) and partner with Product + Engineering to confirm sequencing
• Re-test fixes in staging, document results, and confirm items meet acceptance criteria
before being marked release-ready
2) Staging Testing & Release Readiness
• Execute structured staging validation prior to monthly production releases, including
smoke tests and regression testing of core workflows
• Validate new features against acceptance criteria and flag risks early (partial fixes, edge
cases, unclear behavior, missing requirements)
• Coordinate lightweight UAT sessions when stakeholder validation is needed and capture
outcomes and follow-ups in Jira
• Maintain simple test checklists and repeatable validation steps to ensure consistent
release quality month-to-month
3) Training Documentation & Enablement
• Create and maintain training content in Confluence for current product workflows,
common tasks, and troubleshooting
• Update training documentation as features changes and ensure documentation reflects
each monthly release
• Draft and maintain monthly release notes (Confluence-first, with Teams/email-ready
summaries as needed), including:
• What Changed
• Who it impacts
• How to use it
• known limitations or callouts
4) Product & Delivery Support
• Partner closely with Chris Ticcioni to support planning, execution, and tracking of product
initiatives
• Maintain and organize product backlogs, requirements, and supporting documentation
• Assist with gathering, clarifying, and documenting requirements from internal stakeholders
(Engineering, Operations, Field, Technology)
• Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and ongoing delivery coordination as needed
5) Stakeholder Coordination & Operational Follow-Through
• Serve as a coordination point between Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and follow-through
• Track action items, decisions, and dependencies across meetings and working sessions
• Help prepare agendas, materials, and follow-ups for product-related meetings and reviews
6) Process & Tooling
• Support continuous improvement of product and delivery processes
• Help standardize templates and workflows (bug templates, testing checklists, Confluence
structures, release note format)
• Assist with tool administration and hygiene (Jira, Confluence, documentation repositories)
Required Qualifications
• 1–5 years of experience in product operations, QA/testing, project coordination, business
analysis, or technology operations
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple
workstreams and follow-through reliably
• Comfort working with technical teams and documenting workflows clearly
• Experience with product/delivery tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Miro, or
similar)
• Strong written documentation skills (bug write-ups, testing results, training pages, release
notes)
Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments and sprint-based delivery
• Experience supporting SaaS, internal tools, or field/operations-focused technology
products
• Familiarity with manual QA practices (smoke/regression testing, UAT coordination, test
case writing)
• Comfort capturing evidence for defects (screenshots, recordings, environment details)
• Background in energy, solar, construction, asset management technology (a plus, not
required)
• Desire to grow into a full Product Manager role over time
What Success Looks Like
• Bugs are consistently captured with clear reproduction steps and evidence, reducing back and-forth and speeding up fixes
• Fixes and features are validated in staging before release, resulting in fewer production
issues and smoother monthly releases
• Stakeholders have consistent, easy-to-follow training documentation and release notes
that reflect current product behavior
• Jira and Confluence stay organized and reliable as the system of record for execution and
enablement
• Chris Ticcioni and the broader product team spend less time on triage/testing/document
upkeep and more time on strategy and outcomes
