Warehouse Supervisor at University Medical Center of El Paso – El Paso, Texas

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor supervises Inventory Control functions and actions associated with the operation of the requisitioning, receiving, and inventory management, stock control and other related aspects of inventory. Works with different departments within the Hospital District to transport supplies and equipment to and from the Hospital and outlining clinics.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Work Experience:

Five years of experience in Materials Management/Supply Chain Distribution or related work experience required.

One year of supervisory experience required.

License/Registration/Certification:

Logistics, Inventory Management and Transportation certifications preferred.

Education and Training:

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Skills:

1. Strong customer service orientation
2. Knowledge of material handling and warehousing practices, procedures and guidelines.
3. Knowledge of computerized inventory systems.
4. Ability to utilize computer application related to work processes.
5. Transportation of Medical/Surgical supplies, Medical equipment, and Hospital Technology equipment.
6. Ability to analyze problematic situations and develop potential solutions.
7. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
8. Ability to make calculations such as discounts, freight estimates, dimensional weight, invoices, and percentages.
9. Ability to present proposed solutions in a clear and concise manner along with analysis of pros and cons supporting the recommended solution.
10. Ability to work under pressure and with time constraints.
11. Effective English language written and oral communication skills.
