About This Position
Position Title: Architect
Reports to: Operations Manager
Location: Goodfellow AFB, TX
Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Summary: Aldevra is currently seeking a qualified Architect to support the 17th Civil Engineer Squadron (17 CES) in Goodfellow AFB, TX. This position is contingent upon contract award.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Serve as coordinator on projects with responsibility for technical, analytical, or project direction of the work group.
- Interact with technical or management specialists within the customer organization.
- Participate in regular meetings with the customer organization and its stakeholders.
- Participate in tasks that are somewhat complex & that may require application across a range of knowledge base relating to Architectural/Engineering Design.
- Provide assistance on all types of contract programming, facility design and construction projects.
- Prepare plans, specifications, Statement of Work (SoW) or Objectives (SoO), estimating, project package development, and supervision of construction for compliance and the contract documents.
- Coordinate work with Contractors' personnel and base representatives to ensure timely and satisfactory accomplishment of all contracts.
- Develop design criteria, fact finding studies, performing surveys and site investigations, project document development, design guide and facility standards interpretation, reviewing standards and policy documents, technical studies/review, cost estimation, and construction management/inspection including submittal reviews and contract modifications, etc.
- All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:Security Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain CAC clearance.
This position requires passing an extensive background check.
Qualifications:
- Must be degreed in Architecture through an National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) program and either licensed as a Registered Architect (R.A.), by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico, or provide an adequate combination of Education and Experience
- Must have minimum 10 years’ experience in the architecture, design, and/or construction field.
- Must have a history of performing tasks related to design including code research and interpretation, and familiarity with Americans w/ Disabilities Act (ABA) or Architectural Barriers Act (ABA).
- Must be proficient in; drafting and the preparation of plans, preferably using AutoDesk products such as AutoCad, specification writing, preferably using SpecsIntact or similar applications, and cost estimation, preferably using software such as RSMeans or E4Clicks
- Have an in-depth knowledge of Air Force (AF) organizational structures, functions and procedures, as well as command relationships and responsibilities
- Valid Real-ID state-issued driver's license
- Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner
- Excellent and accurate written communication
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems; online calendars and cloud systems; intermediate to advanced skills Microsoft office products required
- Excellent attention to detail; accurate data entry
- Customer Focused and team-oriented work ethic
- Able to multi-task efficiently and accurately, focusing on quality
