  • What You’ll Do

    As a key member of our maintenance team, you’ll ensure safe, reliable operation of plant equipment and facilities. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, & maintain electrical & mechanical systems while supporting preventative maintenance, safety initiatives, & emergency repairs.

    Required Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years as a full-charge maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing facility of similar size
  • 1+ year designing and operating a preventative maintenance program
  • 1+ year participating on a Safety Committee in a food manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • Electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics
  • HVAC systems, boilers, air compressors
  • Welding (all types), cutting equipment, and machine tools
  • Knowledge to troubleshoot, repair, & maintain:
  • Production equipment & control systems
  • Forklifts and automobiles
  • Equipment sensors and plant utilities
  • Proficient with electrical testing equipment & hand tools
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage schedules while responding quickly to emergencies
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Must lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs
  • Comfortable bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, climbing stairs & ladders
  • Must stand, walk, or sit up to 8 hours per shift
  • Comfortable working at heights and in environments with noise, dust, heat, cold, and varying weather conditions
  • Capable to freely access all areas of the plant, including mezzanines and ladder-accessed equipment
  • Certifications & Licenses

  • Current Electrician license or higher required
  • Forklift operation skills; certification through an OSHA or NIOSH-approved program (or ability to obtain)
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; must be insurable
  • First Aid & CPR certified (or able to obtain within 90 days and maintain certification)
  • Schedule & Availability

  • Swing shift availability required
  • Willingness to work overtime, staggered shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Available for emergency maintenance calls at any time
  • Education & Training

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of additional technical training in areas such as:
  • Electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC
  • Welding, metal maintenance, drive systems
  • Heavy machinery & automotive repair
  • OR

  • 5 years of hands-on plant maintenance experience with full responsibility for machinery, electrical systems, HVAC, forklifts, & control systems (in lieu of formal education)
