DESCRIPTION
GEBM puts crews on client sites across the country: fulfillment centers, data centers and industrial facilities. The Project Manager in Training is the supervised step between Team Lead and Project Manager on our field career ladder, carrying PM-level work on a live client site under a named PM sponsor while building toward running a site solo. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Convert the onsite PM's weekly plan into daily schedules of work for your assigned crews, and build a four-week look-ahead planner under sponsor review
- Know your site's SLA and quality KPIs, and represent GEBM in front of client representatives, including drafting escalation responses and status updates
- Model and enforce safety procedures across the crew, including PPE compliance, toolbox talks, and stop-work authority under RAMS and site-specific JHAs/AHAs
- Submit accurate, on-time Daily Progress Reports and time records, and maintain project documentation in SharePoint and Fieldwire
- Run crews of ten or more, including temporary and United Construction Associates (sister company) labor, and develop the Team Leads and skilled labor on your crew
- Verify staged materials against the BOM and own module readiness for your site, escalating material gaps before they become schedule misses
- Work an active development plan with your PM sponsor and progress through the Quarterly PMIT and PM Evaluation cycle toward Project Manager
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of field crew leadership experience on active client sites (construction, installation, modular build, industrial, or fulfillment or warehouse environments), with hands-on expertise in 5S, builds, signage, guardrail installation, and wire management to client specification
- OSHA 10 certification current at time of hire, plus forklift or scissor lift certification current at time of hire; OSHA 30 and the remaining certification required within 120 days
- Clean safety record: no attributable recordable incident or OSHA violation in the past four quarters
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing reporting
- Working proficiency in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, and the ability to learn field management software such as Fieldwire quickly
- Valid driver's license, and the ability to pass client-required background checks and site badging requirements
- Willingness to accept travel assignments of up to three months, 40-plus hour work weeks, and weekends or overnights as scheduled
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience leading mixed crews that include temporary or staffing agency labor
- Experience in modular construction, data center, or fulfillment center environments
- Working exposure to CAD, DWG TrueView, or blueprint and layout reading
- Prior participation in a structured leadership development or apprenticeship program
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Pay: $25.00 per hour, fixed (Grade G3, Leadership track). This is a full time, non-exempt position; overtime is paid for hours worked beyond 40 in a week in accordance with applicable law.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a field-based role performed on active client sites, including fulfillment centers and data centers. The work requires standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting for full shifts, and the use of powered industrial equipment including forklifts and scissor lifts. Required PPE includes safety or composite toe shoes, high visibility apparel, eye protection, and any site-specific requirements. Schedules include extended weeks, nights, and weekends driven by client project schedules, and travel assignments of up to three months.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and, where applicable, a motor vehicle record check and drug screening, conducted in accordance with applicable law.
