About the Role
Job Title: Electrical Assembler
Department: Manufacturing Administration

Reports To: Production Manager
Job Summary
As an Electrical Assembler you will play a key role in building, wiring, and assembling electrical equipment and sub-assemblies that meet our quality and safety standards. Working in an hourly, full-time capacity, you will interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, bills of materials, and assembly drawings to accurately complete builds and repairs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, bills of materials (BOMs), and assembly drawings to perform accurate assembly and wiring tasks.
- Assemble, route, and terminate electrical wiring and components according to engineering specifications and work instructions.
- Perform wire cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, pulling wire, and terminating circuits using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and electrical testing equipment safely and effectively during assembly and testing operations.
- Perform basic testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of wiring, harnesses, and electrical components to identify and resolve defects or issues.
- Follow all safety, quality, and workmanship standards, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate counts of parts, materials, and assemblies, and report any shortages, nonconformances, or discrepancies.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline assembly processes and reduce rework or defects.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Vocational training or certification in electronics is a plus
- 6 months to 3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
Required Skills/Abilities
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, bill of materials and assembly drawings
- Wiring and Termination: Skills in wire cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, pulling wire, and terminating circuits
- Tool Proficiency: Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and electrical testing equipment
- Troubleshooting: Basic ability to test, inspect, and troubleshoot wiring or component issues
- Collaboration: Work with Engineering and Design personnel to help solve problems and correct documentation for future use
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Strong manual dexterity, good hand-eye coordination, color vision (to distinguish color-coded wires), and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 25–50 pounds depending on the specific equipment
- Comprehend and observe all safety and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
