About the Role:

The Groundskeeper (lawn and snow) plays a vital role in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and safety of outdoor spaces across various properties. This position is responsible for maintaining lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas, ensuring they stay healthy, clean, and visually appealing year-round. The Groundskeeper will also manage seasonal tasks such as snow removal to maintain accessibility and safety during colder months. By operating specialized equipment and applying knowledge of landscape materials, the Groundskeeper helps create welcoming environments for residents, visitors, and employees. Ultimately, this role supports the overall property management goals by enhancing curb appeal and preserving the integrity of outdoor spaces.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven experience operating zero-turn mowers and snow removal vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Basic knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and materials.
• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Strong work ethic with a professional attitude and positive demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a commercial property maintenance setting.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain lawn mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment to care for grass, shrubs, and flower beds.
• Manage snow removal operations using snow vehicles and manual methods to ensure safe walkways, parking lots and driveways during winter.
• Inspect and maintain landscape materials and equipment, reporting any issues or needs for repair.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Hours will be Monday - Friday, 6:00 to 2:30 pm (must have a flexible schedule from November to April. Work is triggered by weather events, meaning hours fluctuate week to week and require reporting on 1-2 hours' notice at all hours of the day and night)
