Job Description

Territory Manager

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Territory Manager in United States.

This role is a high-impact, field-based sales position focused on driving sustainable business growth across a defined multi-state territory. You will act as both a technical advisor and commercial partner, working closely with distributors, channel partners, and end users to expand product adoption and strengthen long-term customer relationships. The position combines strategic account development with hands-on technical support, requiring a strong understanding of industrial applications and rotating equipment. You will proactively identify new opportunities, convert prospects into long-term customers, and ensure a high-quality customer experience throughout the sales cycle. Operating in a “hunter” mindset environment, you will play a key role in expanding market presence while protecting and growing existing business. This is a highly autonomous role with significant travel and direct customer engagement. It is ideal for a technically strong, commercially driven sales professional who thrives in complex industrial environments.

Accountabilities:
  • Drive consistent, sustainable sales and profit growth across an assigned territory through proactive customer engagement and opportunity development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, channel partners, and end users to expand product penetration and customer loyalty.
  • Provide consultative technical and commercial support, identifying customer needs and recommending optimized product and system solutions.
  • Act as a key technical resource for application troubleshooting, failure analysis, and competitive product interchange recommendations.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities using a structured sales funnel approach and CRM tools to manage pipeline activity.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and application teams to support complex technical issues and ensure optimal solution delivery.
  • Execute strategic account plans focused on retention, expansion, and long-term customer value creation.
  • Conduct product training, demonstrations, and technical discussions with customers and distributor teams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • Strong technical and commercial aptitude, ideally within industrial, mechanical, or rotating equipment environments.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical product information, including bearings, seals, lubrication, and maintenance applications.
  • Proven ability to manage complex customer relationships and operate in multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strong sales capability with experience in opportunity identification, pipeline management, and consultative selling.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a proactive, “hunter” mindset.
  • Highly organized with strong time management and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (60–75%) across the assigned territory.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build trust.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary range of $123,000 to $139,000 depending on experience and location.
  • Performance-based bonus or short-term variable incentive plan.
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Company-paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with generous employer contribution and matching structure.
  • Paid time off and 13 company holidays.
  • Flexible work options depending on role requirements.
  • Tuition reimbursement and employee development programs.
  • Employee discount programs and additional wellness benefits.
