Job Title: Production – Fabrication Coordinator

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Job Summary

The Production–Fabrication Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and monitoring fabrication activities to support production schedules, project timelines, and delivery commitments. This role serves as a liaison between production, warehouse operations, and project management to ensure fabrication work progresses efficiently, materials are available, and project milestones are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate fabrication work orders in alignment with production schedules and project timelines
  • Serve as a liaison between fabrication teams, warehouse staff, and project managers
  • Communicate job priorities, schedule changes, and completion dates to production personnel
  • Track fabrication progress and provide status updates to project management
  • Monitor fabrication consumables and notify appropriate teams of requirements
  • Support project execution by aligning fabrication activities with project milestones and delivery dates
  • Assist with workload planning and sequencing of fabrication jobs
  • Identify and escalate production issues that may impact schedules or project deliverables
  • Maintain accurate production and job tracking records in ERP or production systems
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to scheduling, workflow, and coordination

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in production coordination, fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environments
  • Experience working with production schedules and job tracking systems
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Effective communication skills across shop floor, warehouse, and project teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams) and ERP/MRP systems
  • Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in metal fabrication, machining, welding, or industrial manufacturing
  • Experience coordinating production activity within a project‑driven environment
  • Familiarity with inventory flow and warehouse operations

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment
  • Standing, walking, and occasional lifting required
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Work Environment

  • Combination of office, production floor, and warehouse environments
  • Exposure to noise, heavy equipment, and industrial processes
