Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

Noninvasive cardiologist for primarily outpatient setting to replacing retiring physician. Practice consists of one physician and two Advanced Practice Providers.

Responsibilities include general cardiology clinic, EKG interpretation, ambulatory monitoring, and transthoracic echo with potential for nuclear stress testing and stress echo. Device management skills a plus.

There is a strong relationship with referral centers with limited inpatient and ED coverage. No night or weekend call.

DEPT. SCOPE OF SERVICE:

The BMH Medical Group provides medical services in various specialties and offices including Internal and Family Medicine, Post-Acute Care, Centralized Scheduling, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Cardiology, Neurology, Orthopaedics, Podiatry, Urology and General Surgery. The practices are staffed by clinicians (Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and Certified Nurse Midwives) who are supported by clinical staff (RNs, LPNs and Medical Assistants) and clerical staff (Patient Service Representatives). Hours vary by practice but are generally 8:00 - 5:00

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification or eligibility for certification by the appropriate governing body
  • Valid Vermont medical license to practice
  • Valid Vermont DEA license
  • CPR for Healthcare Providers
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills to effectively assess and treat conditions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and patient safety.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and staying updated with emerging trends and research.

OSHA CATEGORY:

OSHA Category I - Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues require use of techniques of Universal Precautions as evidenced with blood borne pathogens standards

Compensation Disclosure in Accordance with Vermont Act 155

In compliance with Vermont Act 155, Brattleboro Memorial Hospital provides the compensation range for this position in good faith. The listed range represents the pay scale reasonably expected for a successful candidate based on factors such as relevant experience, education, internal equity, and market competitiveness. Final compensation will be determined during the hiring process.
