Mobile Maintenance Technician/Day Porter in Ft Myers, Florida at Burns Scalo Florida LLC

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Mobile Maintenance Technician / Day Porter to support a portfolio of commercial office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use properties throughout Southwest Florida. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, property inspections, minor repairs, cleaning duties, vendor coordination, and responding to service requests to ensure our properties remain safe, clean, and professionally maintained.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently while traveling between multiple properties throughout the day.

• Essential Responsibilities
• Maintenance Technician Duties
• Perform routine property inspections and identify maintenance concerns.
• Complete minor handyman repairs including:
• Drywall patching and painting
• Door and lock adjustments
• Ceiling tile replacement
• Minor plumbing repairs
• Light electrical repairs (switches, outlets, bulbs, ballast replacement)
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs.
• Monitor building systems and report deficiencies.
• Work closely with Property Managers, assisting with vendors and contractor coordination as directed.
• Respond to tenant service requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain maintenance logs and work order documentation.
• Assist with emergency response activities, storm preparation, and post-storm inspections.
• Day Porter Duties
• Pick up litter and debris throughout the property.
• Clean entrances, sidewalks, breezeways, and parking areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Clean and stock restrooms as needed. Perform light pressure washing and exterior cleaning.
• General Responsibilities
• Travel between assigned properties daily.
• Maintain professional appearance and represent the company positively.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with tenants, vendors, and property management staff.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial building maintenance, facilities, construction, or handyman experience preferred.
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and building systems.
• Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Basic smartphone and email proficiency.
• Valid Florida Driver's License with acceptable driving record and proof of insurance.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Background check required

• Physical Requirements
• Frequently walk, stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and lift materials.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in Florida heat and weather conditions.
• Ability to travel throughout Southwest Florida on a daily basis.
