Saw Operator - 1st Shift in Fort Wayne, Indiana at QuikCut LLC

QuikCut, LLC is seeking a Saw Operator at our Fort Wayne facility on 1st shift to operate and maintain saw equipment to cut metal materials according to specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate various types of saws (e.g., band saws, circular saws) to cut metal materials to specified dimensions
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine cutting requirements
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using measuring tools
• Inspect materials for defects and ensure quality standards are met
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of saw equipment

• Previous experience as a saw operator or in a similar role in a metal fabrication shop preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and precision in cutting
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials
