Program Supervisor

The Program Supervisor is a purpose-driven leader who cultivates a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment where young people can heal, grow, and thrive. In this role, you will mentor and support residential staff while ensuring each resident receives compassionate, individualized care aligned with their treatment plan.

Blending leadership with hands-on engagement, the Program Supervisor guides direct care staff through coaching, performance feedback, and accountability, upholding high standards of care and compliance with policies and procedures. You will play a key role in shaping team culture, fostering professional growth, and maintaining consistency across the program.

At the same time, you will actively support residents in their day-to-day experience, helping to create a stable, therapeutic milieu through structured routines, effective crisis intervention, and a wellness-focused approach. Your presence and leadership will directly contribute to meaningful progress in each resident’s treatment journey.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned location, staff, and residents.
  • Oversee daily programming and ensure individualized care for each resident.
  • Assess risk and communicate needs clearly and promptly.
  • Supervise and support Program staff, including scheduling, debriefs, feedback, and documentation of performance and disciplinary actions.
  • Manage resident sleeping arrangements.
  • Account for company devices, tools, and property (e.g., phones, keys, equipment, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the Medical Team to implement directives and wellness programming such as facilitating medication administration and self-administration.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical team on implementation of resident treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
  • Know and support use of Guide Development Plans, manuals, and training guides.
  • Maintain compliance with training and certification requirements.
  • Model, teach, and uphold Pacific Quest’s core values: Professionalism, Health, Connection, and Resilience.
  • Ability to cover direct care responsibilities as needed.
Additional Duties
  • Fill in as needed for operational and programmatic needs, which could include working in other capacities as needed.
  • Participate in staff review processes at the 90-day, and 1-year marks.
  • Mandated overtime may be required if relief staff does not show up for shift.
  • Other duties as assigned or required due to operational needs.
Skills/Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 1-3 years experience working with adolescents and young adults in therapeutic settings preferred.
  • Skilled in crisis prevention and intervention.
  • Ability to adhere to confidentiality policies.
  • Current in-person CPR/First Aid certification (Wilderness First Aid & Wilderness First Responder can only be substituted for a CPR cert if the card specifies that CPR was included and the expiration date.).
  • CPI certification (provided by PQ); assist with staff CPI training and reviews.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets).
  • Builds respectful and collaborative relationships with staff and residents while growing in a dynamic environment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Pass all pre-employment and ongoing background checks, fingerprinting, and drug screening.
  • Pre-employment and annual physical and TB clearance required.
Work Hours and Location
  • Four-day shifts, average 45 hours per week; typically Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Sunday.
  • Shifts may vary to accommodate resident needs, and supervisors should be ready to respond flexibly to critical situations or transitions. Escalations, outfittings, and emergencies may affect shift times and may on occasion require overnight stays on site.
  • Primary work location is Pacific Quest’s Young Adult Program; however, this role may require flexibility to work at other program sites based on operational needs.
Physical Demands

The role of the Program Supervisor is physically demanding; please communicate in writing any accommodation you may need. With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following:

  • The ability to see, hear, speak, and write clearly.
  • Regular walking, standing, and sitting; occasional climbing including stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Reaching with hands and arms. Walking up inclines and on uneven terrain may be required.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent physical activity required during 10-12 hour shifts.
  • Must be able to respond rapidly in emergencies, including sprinting and performing energy-intensive movements for safety.
  • Starting wage commensurate with experience and qualifications.
