Respiratory Therapy Clinical Coordinator
Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303

$35.52 - $53.28 an hour - Full-TIme Days, 36 hours per week
+$2.50/hr for weekend shifts.

Boulder Community Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Clinical Coordinator who is a leader, mentor, and role model. Is responsible for the department in the absence of the Manager and/or Director. Represents the staff through growth, change, and problem resolution.

Qualifications
•Successful completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program as required by licensure within 12 months of hire
•Colorado State License for Respiratory Therapist
•Requires RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) with initial certification from NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) verified
•BLS (Basic Life Support) required within conditional period
•NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required within conditional period
•PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) encouraged but not required
•One year of respiratory therapy experience within hospital setting preferred.
•Minimum of 12 months of acute care RT experience.

Responsibilities

•Promotes patient centered care and service excellence.
•Promotes efficient patient flow, excellent interdepartmental communication and hand-offs with overall focus on patient safety.
•Creates effective working relationships by promoting open communication in dealing with staff, patients, visitors, physicians, outside agencies and administration.
•Promotes a Just Culture environment within the department.
•Demonstrates clinical role modeling for all staff. Encourages clinical and professional growth through mentoring.
•Accurately documents occurrences and events in the occurrence system and holds staff accountable to do the same.
•Is aware of the educational, training, and requirement needs in the department and supports the training process.
•Maintains knowledge of hospital and department policies, standards and procedures in order to be an effective resource and leader.
