Job Description

PowerApps Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a PowerApps Developer based in United States.

This role is a highly technical, hands-on development position focused on building, enhancing, and maintaining an enterprise Power Platform application. You will act as the primary technical owner of a Canvas App solution, responsible for architecture, development, QA, and ongoing system improvements. The position requires close collaboration with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem. You will design and optimize Dataverse structures, develop Power Automate workflows, and build reporting capabilities using Power BI. This is a standalone technical leadership role where you will own the full application lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and support. The environment is remote, fast-moving, and highly autonomous, requiring strong ownership and problem-solving skills. Your work will directly impact system usability, performance, and the evolution of critical enterprise workflows.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, develop, and enhance PowerApps Canvas applications using Dataverse as the core data platform.
  • Serve as the sole technical lead for the application, owning architecture, development, QA, and deployment activities.
  • Gather, refine, and translate stakeholder requirements into functional and technical solutions.
  • Build and maintain Power Automate workflows, including scheduled, triggered, and integrated processes.
  • Develop and optimize Dataverse structures, including tables, relationships, schema updates, and calculated columns.
  • Create and maintain Power BI reports, leveraging DAX, Power Query (M), and data visualization best practices.
  • Perform system troubleshooting, production support, and issue resolution across applications and workflows.
  • Manage backlog prioritization, estimate effort for enhancements, and deliver regular status reporting to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • 5–7 years of experience in Power Platform development, including PowerApps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
  • Strong ability to operate independently as a sole developer and technical owner of an enterprise application.
  • Experience designing and delivering Canvas Apps with complex data models and business logic.
  • Proficiency in Power BI development, including DAX measures, calculated columns, and Power Query transformations.
  • Strong understanding of Dataverse architecture and optimization techniques, including relationships and schema design.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and align with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience gathering requirements, prioritizing backlog items, and managing Agile-style delivery cycles (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Microsoft Power Platform certifications are a plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of $75,000–$115,000 annually.
  • Comprehensive employee benefits package (details provided by employer).
  • Fully remote work arrangement within the United States.
  • Opportunity to act as the sole technical owner of a mission-critical enterprise application.
  • Exposure to end-to-end solution delivery across Power Platform and Microsoft ecosystem tools.
  • Autonomy to design, build, and evolve a full-scale business application.
  • Potential eligibility for Public Trust clearance-based federal project work.
