What You'll Do
As the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering, you'll lead manufacturing engineering initiatives that improve productivity, quality, safety, and delivery performance across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers and technical staff
Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Develop and implement manufacturing processes that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize throughput
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and production readiness activities
Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Program Management teams
Analyze production data and implement corrective actions to improve KPIs
Oversee process documentation, work instructions, routings, and manufacturing standards
Lead capital equipment and automation projects from concept through implementation
Ensure compliance with aerospace quality requirements and regulatory standards
Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvements
Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience within aerospace, precision machining, or advanced manufacturing
3+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams
Strong understanding of CNC machining, aerospace manufacturing processes, tooling, and process development
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and aerospace specifications
Experience supporting AS9100 quality systems
Strong project management and organizational skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
U.S. Person status required due to ITAR regulations
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace OEM or Tier 1 supplier experience
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
Experience with automation and advanced manufacturing technologies
ERP/MRP system experience
New product introduction (NPI) leadership experience
Capital equipment implementation experience
