Job Summary

Microvast is seeking a test engineer for BESS to join our team! Who can bring their fresh perspectives and experiences to the team. If you are zealous about an electrified future and looking for a place that values your curiosity, passion, and desire to learn, you have come to the right place. 

The position is 5 days in office, located at our headquarters in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities

• Analysis, discussion, and clarification of test requirements in close collaboration with systems engineers and technical departments.
• Planning and implementing development tests together with the technical departments.
• Independent execution of system and software integration tests throughout the entire test process.
• Coordination of MIL, SIL, PIL, and HIL tests in cooperation with the quality assurance and testing department.
• Automation of test cases and supporting developers in error analysis.
• Management of test equipment (service & maintenance, calibration, etc.).
• Further development of test systems, test infrastructure, and test methods.
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications & Skills

Required

• Completed university / or college degree in electrical engineering / electronics, mechatronics or another equivalent education
• As a test engineer, you are well-prepared for test planning, and as an innovative thinker, you have an analytical and conceptual mindset.
• 3+ years of professional experience as a Technical Test Analyst, Technical Tester, or Test Automation Engineer.
• Strong experience with test automation systems, test lab layout, and test lab planning.
• Enthusiasm for complex electromechanical and thermodynamic systems; you are proactive and adaptable to a new testing environment.
• A self-motivated and responsible working style completes your profile.
• Proficient in English speaking, reading, and writing.
• Experience with BESS system integration for energy storage system operation
• Strong battery energy storage system safety standards and certification knowledge.
