About the RoleAs an International Sales Consultant, you will represent a globally recognized German brand renowned for award-winning design, premium products, and a strong commitment to sustainability. This strategic role is responsible for driving sales growth across multiple sales channels while building and strengthening relationships with distributors, architects, interior designers, developers, contractors, and other industry professionals throughout Jamaica.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced sales and specification professional who can translate customer needs into innovative Hansgrohe solutions while contributing directly to the continued growth and market presence of the brand.
You will be responsible for developing and executing expansion strategies within the Trade channel, managing key partnerships, analyzing market trends, and implementing promotional activities that maximize business performance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic Trade channel business plans to achieve sales objectives and expand market share.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to align channel initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, architects, interior designers, developers, contractors, and other key trade partners.
- Negotiate and manage commercial agreements that create mutually beneficial business relationships.
- Manage a pipeline of commercial and residential projects by maintaining consistent customer engagement and identifying new opportunities.
- Become a trusted product and technical expert by delivering compelling product presentations and providing technical guidance on Hansgrohe solutions.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling complementary products.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity within the Jamaican market, providing valuable market intelligence to distribution partners and CCA leadership.
- Plan and execute product launches, showroom events, promotional campaigns, training sessions, and other customer engagement initiatives.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by managing inquiries, coordinating product samples, and personally supporting customers whenever needed. Without a local showroom, you will serve as the face of Hansgrohe in Jamaica.
- Maintain accurate customer and prospect information within the company's CRM system to support effective sales planning and customer relationship management.
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field.
Professional Experience- Minimum of five (5) years of successful sales, key account management, or specification experience within the construction industry, interior design, architectural products, luxury building materials, or premium finish products.
- Experience working with architects, designers, contractors, developers, or distributors is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of—or willingness to learn—plumbing systems, construction practices, local building regulations, and installation requirements applicable to Jamaica.
- Experience or education related to sustainable construction or green building certifications is considered an asset.
- Proven ability to establish, develop, and maintain long-term business relationships with key decision-makers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation abilities.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and communicate technical product solutions effectively.
- English fluency is required. Additional language skills are considered an asset.
- Highly self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently while effectively managing priorities and workload.
- Ability to travel approximately one week per month, or as business needs require, throughout Jamaica and occasionally within the Caribbean region.
- Develop long-term growth strategies for assigned key accounts.
- Understand customer business objectives and align Hansgrohe solutions accordingly.
- Build and execute professional account development plans.
- Develop strong relationships across customer organizations to understand business structures and purchasing processes.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for customers while balancing company objectives.
- Successfully negotiate agreements that create value for both Hansgrohe and its customers.
- Resolve conflicts professionally while maintaining positive long-term relationships.
- Build trust-based partnerships through excellent communication, responsiveness, and industry expertise.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multicultural and cross-functional global organization.
- Support local marketing initiatives, customer events, product launches, and promotional campaigns that strengthen brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of Hansgrohe products, applications, specifications, and technical capabilities.
- Communicate information clearly, professionally, and confidently with customers, colleagues, and business partners.
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Product Management, and Global Headquarters.
