About the Role

As a Vac Truck Operator, you will be responsible for operating and coordinating the movements of our vacuum excavation truck across multiple project sites. You'll work closely with site supervisors, contractors, and team members to safely expose underground services, assist with excavation activities, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

This is an exciting new role for BluBuilt as we continue to expand our service offering and capabilities. As our first dedicated Vac Truck Operator position, you'll have the opportunity to help establish and shape this function within the business, becoming an integral part of our future growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vacuum excavation and non-destructive digging activities safely and efficiently.
• Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections.
• Complete job documentation and compliance requirements.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Assist with general civil labouring duties as required.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

• MR (Medium Rigid) Truck Licence
• Current White Car
• Previous Vac truck or civil construction experience
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to work across a variety of project locations
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
• Good communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable (but not essential)

• HR Licence
• Traffic Management tickets
• Civil, utilities, or infrastructure project experience
