Position Overview
CTA Pathology is looking for a talented IT Manager. This role will involve overseeing various IT and network systems as well as a virtualization environment. This role will involve both maintaining advanced systems such as network infrastructure and Philips IMS as well as end-user support.
Responsibilities
- Direct and develop IT personnel
- Oversee cloud and on-premise systems, manage endpoints, and ensure robust cybersecurity postures
- Procur hardware/software and negotiate with external vendors and integrators
- Collaborating with executive and operational teams to implement technology solutions that improve efficiency
- Provide support for our digital pathology scanner systems (Philips) and LIS (Ligolab)
- Manage and maintain a Windows Domain environment with multiple Active Directory Domain Controllers
- Manage virtual machine infrastructure including physical hosts and VMs (XCP-ng with Xen Orchestra, VMware)
- Manage Firewalls and other network devices including Switches and Access Points (pfSense, Ubiquiti)
- Monitor and maintain physical server hardware (NAS Systems, VM Hosts and Physical networking equipment)
- Monitor and maintain systems including: TrueNAS, Bitdefender EDR, Cloudflare basic domain services, Veeam backups, Okta, Google Workspace.
- Keep detailed documentation of IT systems
- Misc service and equipment management such as hosted PBX phone systems, barcode scanners, etc.
- Provision and configure new systems and equipment for end users
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive patient data (ePHI)
Desired Qualifications
- Strong understanding of networking and virtualization
- Active Directory management experience
- Physical hardware knowledge/experience
- Experience using or managing EMR/EHR/LIS software
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and data security
- Customer service oriented and patient
- 3 to 5+ years of hands-on technical experience (such as systems administration), with prior team leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience administering and integrating Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and healthcare data standards like HL7
- CPHIMS (Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems) and PMP (Project Management Professional) is a plus
