Blockchain Security Engineer - Senior Level (Solidity / Rust / Golang )

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Blockchain Security Engineer – Senior Level (Solidity / Rust / Golang) based in the United States.

This is a senior-level opportunity for a security-focused engineer passionate about strengthening the foundations of decentralized systems. You will work across smart contracts, blockchain protocols, and Web3 infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities, design mitigations, and improve overall system resilience. In this role, you will collaborate directly with blockchain development teams to audit code, provide security expertise, and help remediate high-impact issues. You will also contribute to advanced security research, exploring emerging attack vectors and shaping best practices across the ecosystem. Beyond audits, you will help build internal security tools and frameworks that scale impact across multiple clients and protocols. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in deep technical work, enjoys tackling novel security challenges, and wants to actively improve the safety of the decentralized web.

Accountabilities
  • Audit smart contracts, blockchain protocols, and decentralized applications (dApps) to identify vulnerabilities and recommend secure remediation strategies.
  • Collaborate with external development teams to provide expert security guidance and support the resolution of critical security issues.
  • Conduct independent security research to discover new attack vectors and develop actionable insights for improving blockchain security.
  • Design, build, and maintain internal security tools, frameworks, and automation to enhance auditing efficiency and coverage.
  • Strengthen security methodologies, internal processes, and audit practices to continuously improve service quality and reliability.
  • Participate in threat modeling, risk analysis, and security assessments across complex decentralized systems.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices across teams to elevate overall security standards.
  • Support long-term client relationships by ensuring high-quality delivery and consistent security outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, security engineering, or related roles.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with blockchain technologies, including smart contracts (Solidity, EVM, Solana, Move, etc.) and blockchain infrastructure (nodes, SDKs, Cosmos, etc.).
  • Strong proficiency in at least one systems or blockchain-related language such as Solidity, Rust, Go, or Python.
  • Deep understanding of threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and security analysis methodologies.
  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, and mitigate security risks in complex distributed systems.
  • Strong passion for blockchain, cryptocurrency, DeFi, and decentralized technologies.
  • Experience participating in audits, bug bounty programs, or security competitions is highly valued.
  • Strong analytical mindset with curiosity for cryptography, security research, and system-level thinking.
