Accountabilities:
  • Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, financial reporting, and multi-entity consolidations.
  • Oversee accounting operations across multiple legal entities while ensuring accurate intercompany accounting, foreign exchange management, and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Maintain robust internal controls, safeguard financial processes, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulatory obligations.
  • Manage audit activities, payroll accounting, accounts payable controls, statutory reporting, and relationships with external auditors, banking partners, and advisors.
  • Drive finance transformation initiatives by optimizing accounting systems, automating manual processes, and improving reporting efficiency through technology and workflow enhancements.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Business Intelligence, Engineering, Risk, and Operations teams to deliver accurate financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide clear financial reporting and recommendations to senior leadership while fostering continuous improvement across the accounting function.
Requirements
  • CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA completion.
  • Strong technical accounting expertise with experience in financial reporting, audit support, and accounting operations.
  • Solid knowledge of ASPE and IFRS, with prior experience in SaaS, fintech, payments, or other technology-driven industries considered an advantage.
  • Experience managing multi-entity accounting, consolidations, payroll, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency with modern accounting systems, ERP platforms, financial reporting tools, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities, implement automation initiatives, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Interest or experience in AI, workflow automation, or modern finance technologies is considered a strong asset.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications.
  • Opportunity to work in a fast-growing SaaS organization with strong career development potential.
  • Exposure to modern finance technologies, automation initiatives, and innovative accounting practices.
  • Collaborative and supportive cross-functional work environment.
  • Inclusive workplace committed to diversity, equity, and equal opportunity.
  • Accommodation support throughout the recruitment process where required.
