Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (with some flexibility required)
Bristol Adult Resource Center (BARC) is a private, non-profit organization supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a Senior Director for our Residential, Day and Quality Assurance programs. The Senior Director of Program Services (SDPS) works with the Executive Director and management team members as a professional liaison between the agency, individuals, families, membership, and the public/private agencies served by the non-profit. The SDPS assumes the functions of the Executive Director in their absence.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree preferred in related fields such as health, education, welfare, business, hospital administration or special education.
- At least four years experience in one of the following or related fields: education, social work, sociology, vocational, residential rehabilitiation, developmental disabilities.
- At least five years of supervisory and management experience
- Experience in not for profit agencies a nice to have.
- Accounting and financial experience.
- Experience in human resources, community organization, public relations, program implementation/planning and fundraising.
- Maintain work relationships among all levels of the organization, individuals served, families, and other providers or services in a professional manner.
- Provide safe and nurturing environment where Individuals are treated with dignity and respect, can exercise their rights and responsibilities and are protected from abuse or neglect.
- Obtain and maintain all required certifications and trainings (in person and online).
- Willing and able to complete all essential responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation.

- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and people skills.
- Ability to work both independently and with team members.
- Strong oral, written and listening skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Proficient knowledge of technology and willingness to learn.
