This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Transload Transportation Coordinator based in the United States.
This role supports the coordination of transload and final-mile transportation activities, helping ensure freight moves efficiently from origin to delivery. You will work closely with customers, warehouses, carriers, and internal transportation teams to manage time-sensitive shipments. The position requires strong attention to detail, proactive communication, and the ability to resolve transportation issues quickly. You will monitor container and full-truckload movements while keeping shipment milestones and delivery information accurately updated. Success in this role depends on staying organized in a fast-paced environment and consistently meeting customer deadlines. You’ll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge of drayage, transload operations, international freight, and warehouse processes. This is a fully remote position suited to a self-directed logistics professional who takes ownership of every shipment.
- Support the Transload Final Mile team and customers with day-to-day transportation coordination and shipment requirements.
- Coordinate transload, drayage, container, and full-truckload movements from dispatch through final delivery.
- Monitor container and FTL activity to ensure shipments remain on schedule.
- Coordinate with warehouses to monitor transload details and ensure customer requirements are met.
- Dispatch containers and provide release information to carriers within required timelines.
- Schedule delivery appointments while accommodating customer deadlines and operational requirements.
- Monitor delivery milestones and maintain accurate shipment information in transportation systems.
- Identify, manage, and resolve delivery exceptions, proactively communicating issues and proposed solutions.
- Work with carriers, warehouses, customers, and internal stakeholders to address operational challenges.
- Maintain accurate documentation and shipment records throughout the transportation process.
- Prioritize multiple shipments, tasks, and projects while maintaining service quality and operational efficiency.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience coordinating or dispatching drayage and full-truckload movements.
- Demonstrated experience with ocean container transload activities.
- Experience working in a CFS warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with international freight, in-bond activities, drayage, freight forwarding, or customs processes is preferred.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with customers, carriers, warehouses, and internal teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing deadlines.
- Strong ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple assignments independently.
- Self-motivated, dependable, punctual, honest, and comfortable working with limited supervision.
- Professional and positive attitude with a strong commitment to customer service.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive business information appropriately.
- Ability to interpret written, verbal, diagrammatic, and scheduling instructions.
- Comfortable applying basic mathematical concepts, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions, to practical situations.
- Salary range of $45,000–$52,000.
