ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Operates automatic screen-printing machine to print multicolor designs on textiles; mounts screens in specified sequence on machine

• Understands the different print locations for various garment types and products

• Maintains the daily upkeep and greasing of the equipment

• Troubleshoots through error messages and on-press issues

• Achieves daily productivity standards

• Inspects articles being printed to detect colors out of register

• Performs related work as required or assigned by the Team Lead

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK/ Pay

This is a full-time, non-exempt, non-supervisory position. The hours of work are dependent on the shift and the workdays are Monday through Sunday. Starting pay is $15 per hour.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Comprehensive understanding of all screen-print techniques and processes

• Ability to operate M&R auto and manual presses

• One or more years’ screen-printing experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a manufacturing environment where the employee will be exposed to moderate noise due to machine operation. This position will work in a building that experiences fluctuations in temperatures related to seasonal changes. The employee will be exposed to dye chemicals, cleaning chemicals, and strong odors. Laundering machines also produce high levels of hot steam and air pressure.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is a role which would require the ability to walk/stand most of the scheduled shift, lift up to seventy (70) pounds hourly without aid, and performs all work functions while standing, walking, and lifting garments (wet and dry) in and out of machines. Must have good manual dexterity and handle repetitive hand movement with ease. Will transport thousands of garments using a dolly, tote, or wheeled cart.
