Cytek Biosciences is seeking an experienced Field Applications Specialist (FAS) to serve as a technical subject matter expert and trusted advisor for advanced cell analysis and flow cytometry applications. This role partners with Sales to increase awareness and adoption of the Cytek Solutions portfolio, provides clear and accessible scientific advice to customers and internal teams, advises customers on panel designs, and delivers technical seminars that fit the customer needs and interests. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong customer and communication skills, and independent judgment in a complex field-based environment
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Build strong relationships with scientists in flow-cytometry dependent fields (e.g. Immunology, ImmunoOncology, Biomarkers) in both academia and industry
- Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for advanced flow cytometry applications for customers and internally
- Maintain strong working knowledge of advanced cell analysis technologies.
- For key accounts, drive successful adoption and long-term utilization through workflow optimization, user enablement, and strategic guidance.
- Partner with Solutions Sales to plan and deliver instrument demonstrations for Cytek Northern Lights, easyCyte, Muse, and Orion instruments. Support use of Cytek cFluor kits in demos across platforms.
- Advise customers in implementation of Cytek kits and Cytek-developed panels.
- Develop multicolor panels and assays that feature Cytek and partner reagents.
- Promote adoption of Cytek Cloud Basic and Pro through demos, seminars, and customer consultations.
- Participate in planning and provide onsite support for local and international sales/marketing events, including technical support for trade shows, sponsored seminar series, and user group meetings.
- Deliver scientific presentations, workflow discussions, and educational content for internal and external audiences.
- Represent Cytek Biosciences professionally at customer sites, scientific meetings, workshops, and industry events.
- Mentoring of junior FASs.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- A minimum of a BA/BS in Life Sciences, Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, or Medical Technology. Masters or PhD preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience or 8–10+ years of relevant academic/clinical experience, with substantial hands-on flow cytometry expertise.
- Strong scientific understanding of advanced flow cytometry principles, panel and assay design, and analytical problem solving.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex activities across technical, operational, and customer stakeholder groups.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt effectively within dynamic customer-facing environments.
- Self-motivated with strong professional judgment, customer focus, and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a field-based team.

- 20-40% overnight travel
- The individual must be able to travel via commercial airlines, trains, and rental vehicles to customer sites.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for prolonged periods during product demonstrations and events.
SALARY RANGE:
Bay Area, CA: $143000 - $179000
SoCal: 132000 - $165,000
Seattle, WA: $120000 - $160000
