Accounts Payable Specialist (8A-4:30P) in Marianna, Florida at Jackson County Hospital District

Duties and Responsibilities

• Process and verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests for accuracy and proper authorization
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records and documentation
• Ensure timely processing of payments in accordance with established payment terms
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist with month-end closing activities
• Review transactions for proper account coding and compliance with organizational policies
• Research and resolve accounts payable reports as requested
• Maintain organized electronic and physical records of invoices and payment documentation
• Complete check runs, ACH payments, and other disbursement processes
• Collaborate with department managers and vendors to resolve accounting and purchasing issues
• Support audits by providing requested documentation and account information
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and records
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Regulatory Requirements

• Completes annual educational requirements within the assigned time frame.
• Maintains regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and Joint Commission regulations related to their department and, as appropriate, to the hospital.
