Director of Development in Pittsfield, Massachusetts at Berkshire County Head Start

Berkshire County Head Start is seeking a Director of Development to lead and grow our fundraising, grant development, donor and sponsor relations, marketing and communications, and community partnership efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a comprehensive development function and expand the relationships and resources that support our organization's mission and long-term sustainability.

• Fundraising and resource development
• Grant research and proposal writing

• Development tracking, reporting, and data management

• Is an exceptional writer and communicator
• Builds strong, genuine relationships

• Understands fundraising, donor stewardship, communications, or related development work
• Is excited about building new partnerships and identifying new opportunities

A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field is required. Candidates should have two to five years of related experience in areas such as fundraising, grant writing, communications, marketing, community relations, public relations, or nonprofit administration.

CFRE certification and bilingual skills, particularly Spanish, are preferred.
