RN (registered Nurse)-Intensive Care Unit (ICU)--Part Time Days (7A-7P)

WORK LOCATION: Texas Health Allen--1105 N Central Expy, Allen, TX 75013
WORK HOURS : Part Time Days 7A-7P, requirement of 2-12 hr shifts a week including weekend and holiday requirements
Intensive Care Department highlights:
• Environment of teamwork with a family type atmosphere
• Advancement on critical care education through cross training and courses
• Focus on Quality and Excellence in patient care
• Scheduling by requests, bedside staff participate in formulating the schedule with the oversite of the manager.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
• Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• BSN preferred.
• One-year experience as a registered nurse in an ICU setting required
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
• Three (3) years recent ICU experience preferred. RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required; Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support -required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

• Mutual Problem Solving - Professional behaviors that help patients and families understand how to confront, learn about, and think about their health and illness; involves a reciprocal, shared approach with resulting decisions acceptable to involved parties.

• Shared Decision Making - Actively participates in the Shared Governance model at unit, entity, and/or system level.
• Professional Development - A. Participates in change and seeks opportunities for professional and personal growth.
