Purpose of Role
The Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance of various sites and leading a team of Lightning Protection Technicians. The primary focus will be to ensure the efficient delivery of projects, maintain high-quality standards and foster positive client relationships. Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills will be crucial in successfully managing the site team and delivering project expectations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall operations and maintenance of various earthing & Lightning Protection projects, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, work plans and procedures to ensure effective utilisation of resources, labour and timely completion of tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections to assess quality of work, identify maintenance needs and implement appropriate corrective measures.
- Coordinate with the site team to resolve any issues promptly and minimise disruptions to client operations.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration and professional development.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project Managers, understanding their needs, addressing any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and industry standards.
- Implement and monitor health and safety protocols and procedures to create a safe work environment for the site team and clients; acting as Safety Representative
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction industry or a similar role, with a minimum of 2 years of experience overseeing multiple sites.
- Electrical background advantageous but not essential.
- Strong understanding of lightning protection systems, electrical engineering principles, and construction practices.
- Excellent leadership and team-building abilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Strong client relationship management skills, with a customer-centric approach and a commitment to exceeding expectations.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages such as German Dutch, French, or Spanish would be advantageous but not required.
