We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Controller to join our team in beautiful Grand Haven. The Inventory Controller will be responsible for managing and maintaining efficient inventory levels, including receiving, storage, and issuance of material. Ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing discrepancies are critical in this role.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records including stock levels, item descriptions, and locations.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
- Generate regular reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
- Analyze inventory data to identify tends, stock discrepancies, and potential issues.
- Coordinate with various departments to fulfill internal and external orders promptly.
- Ensure timely and accurate picking of material.
- Utilize inventory management software to update and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain and review current inventory control procedures within the system and help to brainstorm new ideas.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management based on inventory analysis.
- Work closely with other departments to optimize inventory processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies.
- Training of new and existing employees as necessary.
- Maintains clean work area.
- Other tasks as assigned.

Education / Experience
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 + years' proven experience in inventory management or supply chain operations.
- Able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out details by uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
- Proficient in inventory management programs such as ERP and WMS.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Quick learner.
- Positive attitude.
