Your role with us:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer for Pearson Packaging Systems, you will prepare detailed secondary packaging equipment designs based on written and verbal specifications of desired machinery functions. You will prepare detailed specification, BOM’s, and cost estimates for our customers, and also supervise design support functions and troubleshoot issues as necessary from the development through commissioning. You will provide support to Sales, Project Management, Assembly, and Service both in the field and on the phone as needed.

You have advanced technical skills. You’re experienced in solid modeling design, preferably using SolidWorks, and capable of preparing thorough, detailed packaging machinery designs.

· Partnering with Sales, Service, Project Management, and Assembly teams to deliver quality products to our customers
· Designing high-performing, robust, reliable, and competitively priced machine solutions
· Quickly and creatively solving design challenges to ensure machines are delivered on time and within scope
Requirements:What you will need to succeed:
· Bachelor’s Degree required in Engineering or equivalent experience
· 3+ years of related experience
· Ability to prepare thorough and detailed machinery designs
· Demonstrated knowledge of solid modeling design and machine design. Robotics integration experience is a plus
· Ability to travel up to 25%
· Excellent technical, verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
· PDM/DriveWorks/Emulate 3D a plus
