Data Center Project Manager

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Data Center Project Manager in the United States.

This role sits at the core of global infrastructure expansion, coordinating the end-to-end lifecycle of data center site selection and delivery across multiple international markets. You will ensure that complex, high-value infrastructure projects move forward with structure, visibility, and operational discipline in a fast-scaling cloud environment. Acting as the connective layer between engineering, finance, legal, capacity planning, and external partners, you will drive alignment across highly technical and business stakeholders. Your work will directly support the expansion of global compute and storage capacity that powers enterprise and AI workloads worldwide. This is a highly cross-functional role requiring strong execution, precision, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives. You will bring order and transparency to fast-moving, high-stakes infrastructure decisions that shape global cloud availability.

Accountabilities:
  • Manage the full lifecycle of data center site selection projects, from early market screening and due diligence through lease execution and operational handoff.
  • Maintain centralized tracking systems, dashboards, and reporting tools to ensure real-time visibility into project status, risks, dependencies, and milestones.
  • Coordinate across Site Selection, Network Engineering, Capacity Planning, Finance, Legal, and external data center partners to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of pipeline data across CRM and internal tracking systems, supporting reliable decision-making.
  • Identify execution risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies, proactively escalating issues to maintain project timelines.
  • Support executive-level reporting, including financial summaries, site approval documentation, and leadership briefs.
  • Standardize workflows, documentation, and reporting processes across regions to improve scalability and operational consistency.
  • Ensure smooth operational handoff of approved sites into construction and deployment teams.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in program management, project management, or infrastructure delivery, ideally within data centers, telecom, or large-scale real estate environments.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple complex, concurrent projects in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Proven experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, including technical engineering teams and senior business leadership.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills for tracking dependencies, documentation, and project variables.
  • Experience using CRM and project tracking systems such as Salesforce, Smartsheet, Excel, or similar tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive alignment and accountability across teams.
  • Comfortable operating in rapidly changing environments with shifting priorities and global scope.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally and domestically as required (up to 70%).
  • Preferred: experience in hyperscale cloud environments, data center colocation markets, and infrastructure leasing structures.
  • Preferred: PMP, Prince2, or equivalent project management certification.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary with potential performance-based incentives.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Opportunity to work on global-scale cloud infrastructure projects powering AI and enterprise workloads.
  • Remote-first or flexible working arrangements depending on role requirements.
  • Exposure to high-impact, cross-functional initiatives in a rapidly growing infrastructure organization.
  • Travel opportunities for site evaluations and international project coordination.
  • Inclusive and collaborative work environment with strong emphasis on ownership and execution.
