Experienced IT Support/Helpdesk Technician

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Experienced IT Support/Helpdesk Technician in United States.

This role is part of a fast-paced IT environment where you will be responsible for ensuring seamless technology operations across a national healthcare organization. As a key member of the internal IT support team, you will provide hands-on and remote technical assistance to end users across multiple systems, devices, and locations. The position involves troubleshooting a wide range of hardware, software, and network issues while maintaining high service standards and user satisfaction. You will also play an important role in onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining secure IT infrastructure aligned with healthcare compliance requirements. This is a highly collaborative yet autonomous role where initiative and problem-solving are valued. Your work will directly support critical systems that enable daily operations and patient care services.

Accountabilities:
  • Respond to helpdesk tickets in a timely manner, diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Provide support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, servers, and other IT equipment across the organization.
  • Perform workstation setup, imaging, deployment, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
  • Manage user onboarding and offboarding processes, including account setup, hardware provisioning, and access management.
  • Support network operations, including LAN/WAN connectivity, VoIP systems, and related infrastructure components.
  • Maintain accurate asset tracking, documentation, and system records using RMM/MDM and internal tools.
  • Monitor recurring technical issues, escalate systemic problems, and contribute to long-term improvements.
  • Participate in IT projects such as system rollouts, site setups, and platform integrations.
  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA/HITECH security standards and internal IT policies.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field preferred.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or technical administration roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows environments (desktop and server), Active Directory, Office 365, and ticketing systems.
  • Solid understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, and networking fundamentals (routers, switches, LAN/WAN).
  • Familiarity with scripting tools and technologies such as PowerShell, SSH, SSL, and basic Unix/Linux environments (preferred).
  • Experience supporting or troubleshooting VoIP systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple requests, and work independently or within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a customer-focused approach to technical support.
