  • Partner with Clinical Operations, Procurement, Legal, and external vendors to validate invoices, milestone billing, and contract terms, ensuring accurate financial treatment of research expenditures.
  • Support month-end and quarterly close cycles by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses with clear supporting documentation.
  • Maintain detailed financial schedules and reporting files related to clinical trials, R&D spend, and prepaid amortization.
  • Assist with financial reporting requirements, audit support (internal and external), and SOX control execution for R&D accounting processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and enhanced reporting structures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with CPA certification preferred.
  • 2–3+ years of accounting or audit experience, ideally with a public accounting background (Big 4 experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accrual accounting, including exposure to ASC 730 and R&D-related accounting concepts.
  • Experience in biotech, life sciences, healthcare, or pharmaceutical environments is highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle, as well as collaboration tools like Google Workspace.
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, work independently, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present financial insights clearly.
Benefits
  • Competitive base compensation with additional annual performance-based bonus eligibility.
  • Long-term equity opportunities as part of a broader total rewards program.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
  • Generous paid time off, company holidays, and wellness-focused benefits.
  • Additional perks supporting work-life balance, professional development, and employee well-being.
