Job Description

We are seeking an Application Solutions Specialist to join our team based out of our Calgary office. This role supports the design, development, and optimization of modern business solutions using Microsoft technologies and emerging AI capabilities. This role enhances business processes, enable data-driven decision-making, and drive innovation through standardized applications, automation, and intelligent solutions. Solution development will focus on leveraging standardized applications, (i.e. SharePoint, PowerApps, PowerBI, PowerAutomate, Microsoft Flow, AI tools etc.) and will influence the methodology to be applied on projects.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support and development within Microsoft-based app solution environment to help business areas achieve their objectives.
  • Perform analysis and provide expertise for the design of new processes tool, data, and applications.
  • Monitor the performance of existing solutions to identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in iterative development using established processes.
  • Guide business users on the effective use of solutions developed.
  • Deliver segments of analysis and reporting across all functions of the organization.
  • Validate data used to support internal tools and migration efforts, as applicable.
  • Work with project teams and stakeholder groups to build requirements and objectives.
  • Develop analytical approaches to meet business requirements.
  • Resolve day-to-day problems arising through operational support of internally developed solutions.
  • Develop and implement solutions both individually and as a member of the Solution Development team.
  • All other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Related University degree, college diploma, and/or trade certification and typically 9 or more years of related experience; or combination of formal education and experience. Professional designation preferred.
  • Proven ability to analyze and improve business processes through technology and automation.
  • Strong analytical thinking, data interpretation, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical and AI concepts to non-technical users.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and learning.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
