Location: Simpsonville, SC

We are hiring an experienced CNC Programmer to support the manufacturing of complex, tight-tolerance aerospace components. This role is ideal for a machinist/programmer who enjoys creating programs, improving processes, solving machining challenges, and working directly with advanced CNC equipment.

This is a hands-on programming role where you will partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to take parts from drawing review through programming, prove-out, and production release.

What You'll Do
  • Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for 5-axis machining centers
  • Program CNC equipment using Mastercam and/or Siemens NX CAM
  • Support CNC milling, turning, VTL, and multi-axis machining operations
  • Read and interpret aerospace drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements
  • Develop machining strategies for complex materials including:
    • Aluminum
    • Titanium
    • Inconel
    • Stainless steel
    • Aerospace alloys
  • Create setup documentation, tooling plans, and work instructions
  • Support machine setups, prove-outs, and first article inspections
  • Troubleshoot machining issues involving:
    • Programming
    • Tooling
    • Fixtures
    • Cutting parameters
    • Part quality
  • Perform simulation and collision checks before production runs
  • Improve cycle times, tool life, and machining processes
  • Maintain controlled CNC programs and manufacturing documentation
  • Support AS9100 quality requirements and aerospace customer standards
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years CNC programming experience
  • Experience programming 5-axis CNC machining centers
  • Strong CNC lathe, VTL, milling, and multi-axis machining experience
  • Proficiency with Mastercam and/or Siemens NX CAM
  • Strong understanding of:
    • G-code / M-code programming
    • CNC machine controls
    • Tool selection and cutting strategies
    • Fixture concepts
    • GD&T
    • Tight-tolerance machining
  • Experience machining aerospace or other precision components preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams
