Job Description
Summary
- The F&B Receiver is responsible for receiving all food and beverage goods and items in an efficient and economical manner. The F&B Receiver must follow established policies and procedures in processing and expediting purchase orders.
Responsibilities
- Physically inspect and receive all F & B items (food, beverage, paper goods, cleaning supplies) delivered.
- Ensure all received products meet quality and freshness standards.
- Calculate food inventories, place orders, and manage costs effectively.
- Maintain organized records, filing reports and invoices accurately.
- Post invoices using Stratton Warren software (SWS) for financial tracking.
- Monitor and adjust PAR levels to maintain optimal food inventory.
- Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies as needed.
- Notify Executive Chef & Sous Chefs promptly of low stock levels.
- Verify and track received inventory, maintain detailed logs and reports.
- Reconcile shipping invoices with receiving reports for accuracy.
- Exercise authority to reject damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
- Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues and manage the return process efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to food safety and handling policies and procedures.
- Follow quality assurance standards to uphold product integrity.
- Maintain cleanliness in work areas, including refrigerated storage and rubber mat cleaning.
- Communicate effectively with management to address concerns and resolve issues promptly.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management for immediate action.

Requirements:Skills/Abilities
- Organizational skills highly recommended.
- Basic knowledge of computer functions, including MS Word & Excel.
- Proper food storage knowledge of dry and frozen goods and handling products in the food industry.
Qualifications/Education/Experience
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Two or more years of experience receiving in a high-volume business.
- Must have Food Handler’s Certification and must obtain a ServSafe Certification.
- Required to learn Stratton Warren Software (SWS) database.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly recommended.
- Basic Math skills required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license with Augustine Gaming Commission.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
- May exert up to 100lbs force occasionally, and/or 50lbs frequently, and/or 20lbs constantly.
- Ability to do the following activities: stand, bend, kneel, squat, lift, reach, push and pull throughout the duration of the shift.
- May be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures.
