The role of the Massage Therapist is:

1. To use massage techniques to enhance relaxation and in each client.

2. To enhance muscle performance and to assist in recovery of clients

3. To assist in the healing process of a client by massaging the soft tissue of the human body, including muscles, tendons, and ligaments.

4. To educate the Wellness Center client in the field of total health for life.

5. To advocate independence in the client.

6. To use complementary aids, such as wet compresses, ice, essential oils and mineral therapies to promote recovery, relaxation and in a client.

Diploma or Certificate from Massage Therapy School - Required

1 Year Massage - Required

Professional License with Georgia Board of Massage Therapy - Required

Advanced massage training - Preferred

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required in 90 days of hire date
