WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
The Superintendent reports to the Director of Field Operations and is responsible for managing all aspects of field operations for construction projects between $1M and $10M or multiple projects under $1M, including site safety, quality control, schedule, procurement, and budget. Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, time management skills, communication, and client service skills.
The Superintendent will handle the following responsibilities:
- Partakes in proposal and pre-construction phase of a project, develops a project plan and overall schedule duration, and reviews contractor scopes during contract development.
- Create construction schedules, perform regular updates, monitor logic relationships, and ensure project completion on time.
- Coordinates jobsite logistics and maintains relationships with tenants.
- Negotiates with authorities having jurisdiction to achieve project-occupancy milestones.
- Leads company’s injury-free environment safety program, utilizing Casco’s Project Safety requirements.
- Ensures project quality and assurance to meet construction plans, specifications, codes, shop drawings, terms of contract, schedule commitments, submittals, goals, and objectives.
- Creates and maintains all Punch (Pre-Final Punch, and Final Punch).
- Professionally represents field operations with owners, CM, building engineers, design team, inspectors, and subcontractors.
- Involved in RFP interviews and company presentations.
- Coordinate subcontractor work scopes, quality control of installation, scheduling, and resource-loading in conjunction with self-perform work crews.
- Manages project scheduling, logistics, procurement, subcontractor coordination, field commitments and daily logs, safety orientations, daily progress photos, reviews drawings, generates RFIs, verifies submittals, and gathers documentation required for compliance and safety.
- Manges ongoing field communication and conducts weekly OAC / Foreman / Subcontractor meetings / pre-installation meetings, and all other subcontractor coordination.
- Maintains open communication with the CEO, COO, Director of Field Operations, and Project Manager.
- Collaborate with the Project team to ensure compliance with all required safety, regulatory, environmental, and company programs.
- Forecasts potential job-site issues and proactively resolves.
- Develops and maintains master schedule and look-ahead (2-3 weeks) schedule regarding all trades involved in the project.
- Punctually attends to call-backs in the field and for services items, as requested.
YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, qualifications AND EDUCATION:
- Must have a valid CA driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Must be willing to submit to a background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Current and certified in First Aid and CPR
- Comply with company policies and procedures, ethics policies, goals, objectives, and mission statement
- Exhibits leadership skills on projects and directs all aspects of construction
- Willingness to extend knowledge to company staff and mentees
- Adept at construction methods, techniques, and plan reading
- Knowledge regarding computer use, including Microsoft Office Products, Bluebeam, and Procore
- Proficient at Scheduling, Critical Path (CPM) scheduling, and sequencing trades
- Knowledgeable about Uniform Building Code, to promote safety and to provide standardized requirements for safe construction
- Attends continued education and training for current construction practices
- Excellent communication skills with field operations team and clients, including email, phone calls and written communications
- Maintains clean and organized job site and path-of-travel
- Adheres to all company policies regarding written approval from owner regarding additional Subcontractor work
- Ability to listen and to maintain a high degree of professionalism
- Must have capacity to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong work ethic
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- 5 to 10 years of related Superintendent experience
- Able to handle TI projects between $1M to $5M or multiple projects under $1M

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000 - $150,000 annually. Full-time positions will be eligible for a full healthcare benefit package after 60 days of employment and a safe harbor company 401k match starts after 90 days of employment. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training. Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.
