Job Description
Located at the Greentree Landfill in our Centralized Wastewater Treatment Facility located at 635 Toby Rd , Kersey, PA 15846, we seek a Treatment Plant Technician who will be responsible for helping to operate and maintain the facility. The facility is a biological and chemical treatment facility. The individual fulfilling this role must be flexible to work alone or with coworkers and be willing to learn and complete several tasks. A maintenance background is a plus. We are seeking an applicant to work 4 to 5 days per week 8 to 10 hours per shift. The facility is 24 hours a day, 7days a week operation. We are looking for a day shift and a night shift position. This position will include training in both operations, maintenance and some basic laboratory work in our onsite lab. The duties herein are intended to describe the general nature of the work performed by this position and are not to be construed to be exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties and skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Daily operations, general maintenance, operations of solids removal equipment and some general labor tasks around facility
- Dump and clean plate and form press, belt press
- Work with other plant operators and mechanics to operate and maintain facility
- May include some tasks associated with working with customers and tracking materials
- Mix and track materials and chemicals needed to operate facility
- Follow and enforce all required Noble safety policies and procedures
Position Requirements
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work with coworkers or alone to complete task
- Willing to work 40 to 50 hours per week
- Liquid waste treatment, preventive maintenance or a mechanical background a plus
