Overview

Lutron-Orluna has an immediate opening for a Technical Assistant based in their Dunstable facility. You will build a career with a high tech company working in a hands on environment. You will have the opportunity to cross train in various departments while performing a wide range of duties to support our engineering, manufacturing, assembly, quality, material handling and packaging operations.



Responsibilities

  • Assemble custom products to meet the needs of our worldwide customers
  • Learn our inventory management system and enter materials transactions
  • Perform light electrical and mechanical assembly operations
  • Work with our supply chain and distribution teams to process customer orders
  • Work with material handling equipment to transport materials
  • Communication status of operation and improvements in a timely manner to leaders
  • Work in a team environment to implement improvement ideas
  • Utilize the computer-based system to enter inventory and production transactions
  • Utilizes continuous improvements and assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by adhering to established policies and procedures
  • Execute production schedules and highlight issues for quality and output improvement


Qualifications
  • Experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Knowledge of BOMs, work orders, serialization, and custom manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working with barcode systems and label printing.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Capability to lift and move boxes of product up to 20kg
  • Ability to stand for an extended period of time
  • Ability to move to surrounding workstations
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions in English
  • Ability for continuous learning
