Residential Plumbing Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Plumbing Service department. This role manages plumbing technicians, ensures high-quality service delivery, maintains customer satisfaction, and drives department profitability. The Service Manager coordinates scheduling, training, performance management, and service quality while ensuring safety and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise residential plumbing service technicians.
- Drive revenue growth by improving average ticket, conversion rates, and service efficiency.
- Monitor financial performance weekly and implement strategies to hit or exceed budget goals.
- Identify opportunities for upselling, maintenance plans, and service agreements.
- Lead, mentor, and stay connected with technicians through regular ride-alongs, coaching, and one-on-one meetings.
- Build a strong team culture focused on accountability, performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Track and manage KPIs such as revenue per tech, close rate, callbacks, and job profitability.
- Work closely with dispatch to optimize scheduling and maximize billable hours.
- Ensure technicians are properly trained in both technical skills and customer communication.
- Address performance issues quickly and recognize top performers.
- Collaborate with ownership/leadership on growth strategy and market expansion
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new technicians.

- 5+ years of residential plumbing experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred.

- Experience with service dispatch software or CRM systems (Service Titan preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record..
