Checkpoint Support Agent

Job Summary

The Checkpoint Support Agent provides operational and customer service support at airport security checkpoints. This role assists passengers in preparing for security screening, supports checkpoint logistics, and maintains a safe, organized, and efficient screening environment. The position requires strong customer service skills, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while interacting professionally with passengers, airport personnel, and federal agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assistpassengers with special needs by providing guidance, answeringgeneral questions, and escorting them to elevators or the Automated People Mover stations when necessary.
  • Provide bins and bowls to passengers preparing for security screening and ensure the continuous movement of bins through the checkpoint process.
  • Transfer bins and bowls from the exit end of the X-ray unit back to the entrance end tomaintainoperational flow.
  • Collect and properly dispose of confiscated non-hazardous liquids from checkpoint lanes and transport them todesignatedwaste disposal unitsin accordance withairport procedures.
  • Maintain courteous, professional, and respectful interactions with passengers, airline representatives, airport authority staff, and federal agency personnel.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties within checkpoint areas to ensure the environmentremainsclean, organized, and presentable. This includesmaintainingthe cleanliness and appearance of bins, bowls, and surrounding equipment.
  • Performadditionalduties as assigned by the Airport Authority Representative (AAR) or supervisory staff to support airport operations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, and lift for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects weighingup to 60 pounds withoutassistance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-traffic operational environment.
