Strategic Sales Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Sales Manager based in the United States.

This is a high-impact sales leadership opportunity focused on driving sustainable growth within a portfolio of strategic industrial customers. The role combines business development, account management, and market expansion responsibilities, allowing you to influence long-term customer success while contributing to broader commercial objectives. Working closely with engineering, customer solutions, pricing, and supply chain teams, you will deliver exceptional customer experiences and identify new growth opportunities across complex accounts. The position offers significant autonomy, exposure to senior decision-makers, and the chance to shape strategic initiatives within a dynamic industrial environment. The position is fully remote within the United States and involves regular travel to customer locations.

Accountabilities
  • Drive consistent year-over-year revenue growth and market share expansion within an assigned portfolio of strategic accounts.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain a robust sales pipeline by identifying new business opportunities, uncovering customer needs, and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders across customer organizations, engaging both operational and executive-level decision-makers.
  • Serve as the primary commercial contact for assigned accounts, ensuring a world-class customer experience and long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, pricing, customer service, quality, accounting, and supply chain teams to develop tailored solutions and resolve customer challenges.
  • Act as the internal project leader for customer opportunities, coordinating resources, tracking action items, and ensuring timely execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Gather and communicate Voice of the Customer insights to support product development, business planning, and market strategy decisions.
  • Develop territory plans, sales forecasts, and growth strategies based on market trends, customer requirements, and competitive analysis.
  • Monitor business performance, pipeline health, and sales metrics to ensure operational excellence and achievement of commercial objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance customer value, and strengthen internal collaboration across teams.
  • Provide clear, professional, and timely communication through regular reporting, strategy reviews, and stakeholder engagement activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales engineering, application engineering, business development, sales, or sales management within an industrial products or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of industrial markets, customer operations, competitive landscapes, and business strategies.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, increasing market share, and successfully managing strategic customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand customer challenges and develop value-driven solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and opportunities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused outcomes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and performance evaluation skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders both internally and externally and align diverse priorities toward common goals.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented professional with a proactive approach to business development and account management.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong team collaboration.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
