Job Description
The Director, Thought Leader Liaison will cultivate, enhance and deepen our leadership position in Dermatology by executing a robust strategic customer engagement / opinion leader strategy as well as acting as the main point of contact for identified customers / opinion leaders by:
- Expanding and strengthening the dermatology footprint to include national and regional scope.
- Deepen Arcutis relationships and engagement with the objective of being the partner of choice with key external stakeholders both from a national and regional scope.
- Execute with excellence the Arcutis vision and aspiration of becoming the premier dermatology company.
- Represent Arcutis, ethically and compliantly at Society, Congress, and other relevant events.
- The ideal candidate will likely reside in a metropolitan city in Texas.
- This role will report to Arcutis’ Executive Director, Professional Relations
Roles & Responsibilities
The Director, Thought Leader Liaison will serve as the primary point of contact for national and regional opinion leaders influential to the treatment of dermatologic conditions in the United States. These responsibilities include:
- Act as point of contact for commercial activities for national and regional KOLs according to alignment set forth by the Executive Director, Professional Engagement.
- Collaborate cross functionally to ensure all functions are aware of key activities in relation to KOLs.
- Lead KOL strategy and engagement plans that deliver advocacy with key opinion leaders.
- Leverage cross functional collaboration in identifying national and regional level thought leaders; including emerging leaders in Dermatology.
- Compliantly capture and report meaningful insights to leadership and other relevant cross functional partners as appropriate.
- Make strategic, thoughtful, and compliant recommendations for advisory boards, speaker bureau, and other commercially appropriate internal activities.
- Assisting commercial with regional and national KOL and emerging leader recruiting efforts for national meetings, training programs and headquarter interactions. Manage logistics, discussion topics and introductions.
- Excellence in cross functional and compliant collaboration with all appropriate internal colleagues.
- Serve as congress leads for KOL and emerging leader engagement, ensuring cross functional coordination and executional excellence that aligns with brand strategy.
- Build customer awareness of Arcutis’ commitment to advancing the treatment of patients with dermatologic conditions and diseases
- Expected travel is 50%-70% including weekends (Congresses, Customer visits, Professional Society Meetings, Home office visits)
Education & Licenses and Experience
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8+ years in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Preferred >5 years in Dermatology
- Marketing and/or sales experience a plus; Understanding of brand and franchise needs, including relevant scientific, medical, & policy-related matters related to this therapeutic area

- Ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent organizational and independent problem-solving skills
